Lions Club

About Us

The Ballston Spa Lions Club is a not-for-profit service organization charted by the International Lions Club in 1949. The Lions conduct fund raisers to support various local community organizations such as the Community Center, Brookside Museum, 4-H Cooperative Extension, American Legion Boys and girls, and State Educational Foundation, and community events and projects such as the Village pool, Village streetlights, and the Sno-Cross. In connection with its International Lions club affiliation, the Lions Club donates funds to sight and hearing organizations such as the Glens Falls Association for the Blind, the Glens Falls Association for the Hearing Impaired, the Empire Speech and Hearing Clinic, the Lions Hearing Conservation Society, the Lions Eye Bank, Guiding Eyes for the Blind and the Lions Eye Institute in Albany. The Lions collect used eyeglasses ad hearing aides for reuse, and assist local children in need of eye care through the school district.

The Lions Club meets on the first and third Wednesdays of each month (except July and August) at a local restaurant. Guests are welcome to attend. For information, contact us by email, and use the subject "Membership."
