Our Village parks are a combination historic, commemorative, and green space designed to draw people together as well as to provide area for exercise and outdoor activity, from swimming at the Village pool, to hiking and jogging in our nature preserve, or kayaking and skateboarding at Kelly Park. Kelly Park in addition contains an extensive children's playground (Kids Creekside Village) created through the contribution and effort of our local businesses.

  • Iron Spring Park

    Iron Spring Park

    Located on Front Street, Iron Spring Park houses the famous Iron Spring mineral waters, discovered in 1771 - "America's first watering place." The village-maintained spring is open for visitors to enjoy and drink from.
  • Jim Tedisco Fitness Trail

    Jim Tedisco Fitness Trail

    With funds provided by Assemblyman James Tedisco, the Village DPW, with assistance from the Towns of Ballston and Malta and the Milton Highway Department, opened a ½ mile walking trail which connects Prospect Street to Front Street.
  • Wiswall Park

    Wiswall Park

    Located on Front Street in the center of the Business District, Wiswall Park is the site of a variety of activities, including summer concerts, farmers’ markets, ice cream socials with the Union Fire Company Band, and the annual Victorian Christmas celebration.
  • Veterans Park

    Veterans Park

    Located on Low Street, Veterans Park pays tribute to the mean and women who made the ultimate sacrifice defending and protecting the freedoms we cherish.
  • Kelly Park

    Kelly Park

    Located on Ralph Street, Kelly Park is an excellent location for fishing and picnicking, and includes a skateboard park, softball fields, picnicking, and a kayak/canoe launch.
  • Woods Hollow Nature Preserve

    Woods Hollow Nature Preserve

    Located on Rowland Street, just north of the Village, Woods Hollow is a 130-acre passive recreation park to be enjoyed for fishing, hiking, jogging, skiing, and nature trails.

BARC sponsors a variety of low-cost recreational activities for children in the Ballston School District, including Spring and Fall soccer, T-ball, instructional baseball, competitive swim teams, children’s summer theater, enrichment classes in the Fall, Winter, and weekly during the summer, basketball, ice-skating (in conjunction with resident volunteers and the Village Department of Public Works), and a downhill ski program. Registration forms are available in the schools, Ballston Library, municipal halls, Apple Community Pharmacy and the Malta Community Center.

$2.00/day/person; $40/season/person

Our Pool: The first Village swimming pool was built by the Ballston Spa Lions Club in 1956 and donated to the Village in 1957. It was replaced by a new pool built in 1994 with funding from the Towns of Ballston and Milton, in addition to community donations. The pool is located on Ralph Street and is open during the summer months for open swimming, adult swimming and “Swimming Under the Stars”. Lessons are provided Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Pool rates are $2.00 per day or $40 per season per person. Contact the Village office for more information..
