On September 17th, 2021, a crew from National Grid came into Ballston Spa to make improvements to our community, and the Village of Ballston Spa wants to thank them for all their hard work and dedication to our Village.

After several options were presented to Jason Buczek, the Ballston Spa resident who coordinated the effort, Kelly Park was chosen as the location for their time and efforts. A list was compiled of various issues that have plagued the park for a while, including fresh paint, a good scrubbing and new mural for the rock-climbing wall, were all tasks taken on by the National Grid team.  In addition, they replaced rotten and damaged wood and replaced the mallets for the playground xylophone.  New bollards were placed by the parking lot to replace old rotten ones, and all were shaved down to resemble a similar height.

The team of ten National Grid employee’s as well as Village of Ballston Spa Trustee Liz Kormos, worked from 8am to 3:30pm addressing the concerns that had been mounting over the last few months.

The Village of Ballston Spa wants to acknowledge all the hard work that the National Grid team did that day and say a great big THANK YOU for showing Kelly Park some much needed love.
