Village of Ballston Spa kicks off Americans with Disability Act (ADA) Transition Plan

The Village of Ballston Spa has been awarded an ADA Transition Plan grant from the Capital District Transportation Commission (CDTC). The ADA Transition Plan Kickoff meeting will be held in the Ballston Spa School District’s Board Room at 70 Malta Avenue on March 2, 2023, at 7:00 pm. The plan will address the village’s public facilities that limit access to programs, activities, or services by individuals with disabilities. The purpose of the plan is to identify structural barriers to its public facilities and, where structurally feasible, schedule and implement improvements to remove or mitigate the impact of those barriers. The village will develop a plan to improve the accessibility of their pedestrian facilities by identifying and evaluating all pedestrian infrastructure in the public right-of-way including curb ramps, sidewalks, crosswalks, pedestrian signals, pedestrian accessible transit stops, and multi-use trails.
