c. 1858 Italianate style, designed to resemble a miniature picturesque castle, is the only armory of Syracuse architect Horatio Nelson White, to survive. Up to 1,000 men of NYS Militia's 29th Regiment were trained here. The Militia disbanded in 1870, and Christ Church purchased the building.
