Wiswall Park

Wiswall Park is in need of revitalization. There are invasive plants, the gazebo and park benches are in varying states of decline, our spring is housed awkwardly, the path is uneven, etc.

A group of citizens and the Parks and Trees Board have been working on a plan for the renovation of Wiswall Park. We are now at the stage of public feedback.

The Concept Design is based on people using this park for strolling, sitting, visiting, having lunch, and quiet moments in a busy day. We want peoples’ opinions on moving community events (movies and concerts) and Farmers Market from this park to other locations in the village. The concerts will be at the Iron Springs Park and the farmers market will be at Brookside Museum this summer.

This is the peoples' park, and we need to hear your thoughts and opinions after viewing the concept design. Keep in mind, this is a concept design, as presented at the November 9th Village Board meeting. The full design for the gardens, structures and other aspects have not been finalized. We need your feedback first.
