About Us

At the far end of Kelly Park, beyond the formal activity areas, lies a woodland retreat with a short trail along the Kayaderosseras Creek. Friends of the Kayaderosseras, a volunteer, not-for-profit organization dedication to conserving the creek, restored the area for low-impact activities in 2004.

The Kayaderosseras Creek is a scenic and historic treasure with recreational opportunities for walkers, paddlers, and fishermen. Ballston Spa lies at the hub of the 41-mile creek of many bends. Trout fishermen and white water paddlers enjoy the section above the Village. Downstream is a unique 10-mile section of mixed scenic vistas, accessible only by canoe, that provide a wilderness experience less than an hours drive from our state capital.
